The Amazon Web Services Console is the main interface users leverage to make administrative changes to AWS services. This powerful tool is a prime target for attackers. Organizations must secure access to the AWS console. The AWS recommended best practice for privileged console access is to restrict traffic to specific workstations. This can prove challenging in medium and large organizations with high numbers of workstations that require access. This integration creates a secure session to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for any usage of the IAM users through Google Chrome (with or without MFA) through a jump server. This eliminates the administrative overhead associated of monitoring and isolating IAM users console access while also ensuring that these highly privileged credentials never reach end user workstations ensuring that a bad actor with workstation access is not able to steal the credential.
