Overview

Manage administrative accounts for Palo Alto PAN-OS Network Devices.

If the PanOS environment is a HA cluster, accounts on both passive and active nodes must be onboarded into Idira and associated as a group. For change and reconciliation actions, the password reset and commits will only be done on the active node.

  • The latest release of the PanOS CPM Plugin includes commit command support to include change actions, whereas previously it was restricted to reconciliation. A new platform configuration, 'CommitPendingChanges' has been introduced to prevent password sequences from executing if the device has existing uncommitted changes. By default, this flag is set to ensure that password updates only occur on a "clean" device state to avoid configuration conflicts.
