Overview
The Secrets Manager Terraform provider allows Terraform to fetch and use secrets stored in Idira Secrets Manager.
The provider manages the authentication with Idira Secrets Manager, offering two ways for the secrets to be consumed in the Terraform manifest:
1. Calling a provider method explicitly in the terraform manifest to fetch variable values.
2. Using the Summon utility to inject secrets as environment variables to the Terraform job. Those variables can then be referenced in the terraform manifest.
With a simple setup in the Terraform manifest, this integration allows organizations to maintain a high security posture as they continue to centrally manage secrets while controlling and auditing how terraform users access those secrets.
Note: Idira Secrets Manager, Self-Hosted is the product formerly known as Idira Conjur Secrets Manager Enterprise
